Firmware and codeplugs for handheld radios

Flash firmware and read or write codeplugs on TYT, Baofeng, Radioddity, Yaesu and Ailunce handhelds, over USB, a programming cable or Bluetooth. It also tells you what a file is before you trust it.

What it does

Firmware and codeplugs

Flash firmware on TYT, Baofeng, Radioddity, Yaesu and Ailunce radios, and read and write codeplugs on TYT DMR radios and the Baofeng UV-5R and UV-17Pro families.

USB, a cable or Bluetooth

TYT radios in DFU mode over USB, the UV-5R family over a serial cable, and the UV-17Pro and UV-5R Mini over Bluetooth LE, which needs no cable at all.

Look before you flash

Says what a firmware file is and what a codeplug holds with no radio attached, and reads the firmware back out of a radio as a backup. Commands that write only check unless you give them --write.

Build and take apart firmware

Wraps raw segments into a firmware file for a radio, unwraps one back into its segments, and guesses the XOR key of a firmware nobody has looked at yet.

With your agent

The agent can run fw-info, codeplug-info, wrap, unwrap, make-xor and models, none of which need a radio attached.
